The Fokus Prize 2020 goes to Karin Reichmuth (b. 1979 in Goldingen, lives and works in Ennenda (CH) and Carrara (IT)). With the award, the jury acknowledges the artist’s technical sophistication of her stone carvings, which she creates from various types of stone such as basalt, Cristallino and Carrara marble.
Every two years, the Glarner Kunstverein awards a position from the unjuried Kunstschaffen exhibition with the Fokus Prize. The prize winner is given the opportunity to present his or her work in a solo exhibition the following year.
